OCTOBER 1 – AL PORTER

Queer suit-sporting funny man Porter kicks off three nights at Vicar Street, then takes to the road for gigs across the country, tickets here.

 

OCTOBER 7 – GEARÓID LESS TRAVELLED

Gorgeous Gearóid Farrelly begins a tour of his brand new comedy show at Mackens in Wexford (then Oct 17 The Mill Theatre Dundrum, Oct 20 De Barra’s Clonakilty, Oct 22 Civic Theatre, Tallaght). Tickets and info here.

 

OCTOBER 3-8 – ROCKY HORROR SHOW

Richard O’Brien’s cult musical hits the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre (the film also gets its annual screening at the Sugar Club on October 29), tickets here.

OCTOBER 7-9 – THE OUTING

OCTOBER 15 – JACK O’ROURKE

Out ‘n’ proud Corkman, O’Rourke launches his debut album Dreamcatcher at The Everyman in Cork, 8pm, tickets here.

OCTOBER 22 – LIVE LAUGH LOVE

Eilish O’Carroll, aka Mrs Brown’s sidekick, Winnie, performs her one-woman show about coming to terms with her sexuality at The Everyman in Cork, tickets here.

 

OCTOBER 29 – THE NINA IN ME

Karen Underwood’s spellbinding tribute to Nina Simone is at the Cork Opera House Green Room as part of the Cork Jazz Festival, 3pm, tickets here.

 

OCTOBER 30 – LE GALAXIE LATE NIGHT HALLOWEEN PARTY!

Le Galaxie are performing on Halloween Bank Holiday Sunday 30 October in the Olympia, accompanied by the Mother DJs.

Doors open at 11pm, with special guest performances from Plutonic Dust and Mother DJs, before Le Galaxie take to the stage themselves.

From hit songs Love System, Put The Chain On (below) and Carmen, Le Galaxie’s performance is guaranteed to be the scare-tacular night you won’t want to miss.
