Coming out to your parents is never easy – but imagine having to do it over and over again. This is a reality for trans woman Tina, whose mother suffers from dementia.

 

Tina Healy’s mother suffers with dementia – which means ever time she visits, she has to come out all over again. Luckily for Tina, her mother has the same incredible response every time.

Tina tells the story of how she first came out almost four years ago – and how every time after, her mothers beautiful response was almost the same, word for word.
