Cult Gay Web Series Returns For Second Big-Budget Season

The Outs

After a four-year hiatus, the cult gay web comedy drama, The Outs, is back with major investment from web-giant Vimeo.

In the three years since the last episode of Adam Goldman’s seven-episode web series about gay dating in New York was released online, The Outs has gained a cult following. Now its audience is about to get even bigger as a second season debuts on Vimeo, with major investment from the web-hosting giant.

The Outs follows Mitchell (Adam Goldman), his best friend Oona (Sasha Winters), his ex-boyfriend Jack (Hunter Canning), and Jack’s new boyfriend Paul (Tommy Heleringer) through breakups and upsets that rearrange their relationships with one another. The first season was funded on Kickstarter and ran for seven episodes.

According to The Guardian, The Outs “pegs both the humor and profundity of relationships”, while Interview magazine called it “The most accurate and essentially human portrayal of young gay men today can be found on the Net, not the networks

In Season 2, gay life in New York hasn’t gotten easier. In the three years since we last met them, Jack, Oona and Mitchell have gotten a little older, a little more tired, and the tiniest bit closer to figuring out what they want.

Figuring out how to get it, though… that’s another story. Watch the trailer below!
