Ingrid Nilsen, a hugely popular YouTube vlogger, came out as a lesbian in an emotional new video which racked up almost 2 million views in less than a day.

The 26 year-old vlogger tearfully revealed that she had been holding in her secret for the entire six years that she has had a YouTube channel.

She eloquently explains how she knew she was gay since a very early age, but that she started to date guys to be considered “normal”.

She continues, “I want to live my life unapologetically because I am proud of who I am and I am not going to apologise for who I am anymore.

“This is the life I have always lived in my head and now its real.”
