Police in London are calling for any information about the murder of trans woman, Vanessa Santillan.
Santillan (33) , originally from Miami, Florida was visiting the United Kingdom when she was attacked and murdered in an apartment in Fulham, London, last month.
The Metropolitan Police were called to a flat in Romily Court, Fulham at around 9.30pm on March 28 where Santillan was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination showed that the preliminary cause of death was trauma to the head and neck.
A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with her death, but has since been bailed.
Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Reeves pleaded, “We want to speak to anyone who saw Vanessa on Friday or Saturday. We need to know why this has happened and we want help from anyone who knew her while she was in London.”
