The much-anticipated new album from scorned songstress Adele has been confirmed, along with a tour to follow in 2015. The information was delivered via an unlikely source today, The World Music Awards Twitter account.

Pressure will be on the singer to deliver the goods – and the sales figures – on the follow-up to her sophomore album 21, which sold 26 million copies worldwide and spawned anthems such as Someone Like You and Rolling In The Deep, which you will have heard at least a thousand times on radio even if you have been living under a rock.
The album was the longest-running number one on the Billboard 200 chart in over two decades, while it was also Amazon’s highest selling record of all time.
One Republic frontman and prolific songwriter Ryan Tedder, who previously wrote Rumour Has It for Adele, spoke to Reverb about the new music saying, “We’ve collected a number of songs. I don’t know which ones will make the album. I think only she knows that. I know that some of them are great, and I’ll try to come in and bring the best that I can, because an artist as good as she is deserves the absolute best. I try to do what I do with anyone else, but with Adele the stakes happen to be a little bit higher”.
The album being titled 25 isn’t exactly the biggest surprise of the year, particularly given Adele tweeted this on her birthday in May.
