The team at GCN are deeply saddened by the death of Mary Shannon, custodian of the Irish Names Quilt.

We invite the LGBTQ+ community to extend their sympathies to Mary’s family as we remember her great service to our community in helping to remember the victims of HIV/AIDS by creating a space for our collective grief.

We will share these messages with the Shannon family after we close the Virtual Book of Condolences on August 10th.
