We are thrilled to bring back our amazing online Christmas Raffle! This gives you a chance to win a whole host of incredible prizes while also supporting the work we do at GCN, Ireland’s free national LGBTQ+ media since 1988 and the trading name of the National LGBTQ+ Federation CLG, a registered charity (Charity Number: 20034580).

In recent years, GCN has been greatly impacted by rising business expenses and the cost of living crisis. To ensure the long-term sustainability of GCN, in 2025, we made the decision to move from a bimonthly print edition to four editions per year. This decision was essential to ensure GCN can continue to provide a free and reliable platform for LGBTQ+ news and content.

GCN aims to remain a safe and trusted space where the community can be informed, heard, and supported. As Ireland’s free national LGBTQ+ media, we want to make a real difference while connecting with support groups, allies, and the wider community. With anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, hate crimes, and misinformation on the rise, our work feels more important than ever.

With this in mind, all funds raised through our fabulous Christmas Raffle will go into ensuring that GCN can remain a free and independent media outlet for the LGBTQ+ community.

We’ve partnered with many businesses, shops, restaurants, hotels and venues across the country, who have kindly donated amazing gifts for our raffle, including: a fabulous overnight stay for two at Lawlor’s of Naas; a €400 voucher for a tattoo session at Good Trouble Ink Tattoo; a Republic of Ireland football jersey signed by the Irish Women’s squad; a €150 gift card for Queer Hawk; two tickets to Mother New Year’s Eve party; a €500 voucher for Fade Laser Clinic; a carvery dinner for two at the four-star Clybaun Hotel in Galway; delicious restaurant vouchers for Bóbó’s Burgers, Cornucopia, Dough Bros, La Gordita, Bunsen, BIGFAN, Tang and more. Tickets for the raffle are on sale from December 1, 2025, to January 1, 2026, at midnight, and the winners will be announced in early January (winners of Mother’s New Year’s Eve party tickets will be announced in late December).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Promoter:
The Promoter is GCN  (the “Promoter”). By entering this raffle, all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any other conditions in the messaging or promotions of this raffle (which may be amended at any time by GCN). Any entries not complying with these terms and conditions will not be valid. The prize(s) are as listed above.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability to the winner for any dissatisfaction with the prize.
No alternative prize will be offered. The prizes are not redeemable for cash.
The winners will be required to provide proof of identity when collecting their prize.

To enter the raffle:
The raffle will run from December 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025 (closing date inclusive). All competition entries must be received by the Promoter no later than midday on the Closing Date. Any tickets received after this date will be disqualified.
Purchase an online raffle ticket on Idonate at the price of €5 per ticket, or 5 for €20, or 10 for €35, or 25 for €100 from the Promoter.
On purchase of an online ticket for the raffle draw, all purchasers of tickets are automatically entered. By entering the raffle, the entrant agrees to take part in any publicity relating to the raffle draw if invited to participate by the Promoter.

Eligibility:
The draw is open to all persons aged 18 or over as of the date of the draw.
The Promoter reserves the right to reject any entry (and award the prize to an alternative winner) if it has grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions, acted fraudulently or illegally, or on other reasonable grounds and shall have no liability to an entrant for any loss or damage arising from such rejection.
By participating in this raffle, you agree to allow GCN to use your details for future communications, including updates, newsletters, and information about our activities and events. We value your privacy and assure you that your email will be used solely for GCN’s purposes and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
The Promoter respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. The personal information you provide will remain private and will only be used for the purposes outlined here.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this raffle at any time with no liability to any entrant or any third party. If, due to the unavailability of a particular prize beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter and sponsor reserve the right to substitute a particular prize for another prize of similar value.

Winner selection:
The winners will be drawn on January 12, 2026.
The prizes are non-transferable and only consist of what is listed above.
The winners will be notified within 14 working days of the closing date by email.
In the event that we cannot contact any of the winners within 28 calendar days after the draw, another name will be drawn, and a new prize winner will be declared.
By entering the draw, winners confirm their agreement to take part in any associated promotion of the raffle.
The Promoter’s decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.

Limitation of liability:
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstance be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability (under contract or otherwise under law) for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees.
If, for any reason, any aspect of the raffle draw does not function correctly, whether by means of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter that corrupts or affects the administration, integrity or fairness of the raffle draw then the Promoter may at its sole discretion cancel, modify or suspend the promotion and/or invalidate affected entries.
