TENI to Launch Results Of Largest Irish Trans Survey
Based on groundbreaking research, this survey provides a detailed picture of the experiences of wellbeing among trans people across Ireland. Collating results from the largest study of the mental health and wellbeing of trans people ever carried out in the State, Speaking from the Margins makes a significant contribution to the understanding of trans health in Ireland.
The survey offers crucial Information on key health indicators of trans people in Ireland, assesses healthcare needs and addresses health issues particular to that group.
Speakers include Diane Nurse, National Planning Specialist: Social Inclusion, HSE and member of the HSE’s Trans Health Working Group. “We’re delighted to be able to publish these results,” said Vanessa Lacey, Health & Education Officer for TENI. “It is very encouraging to be collaborating on healthcare issues with Diane Nurse, and we look forward to our work ahead. This survey offers a frank perspective on trans people’s experience of wellbeing. It is important that these results are made known and discussed.”
The launch will take place at 3pm in the City Wall Space, Wood Quay Venue, Dublin 8.
