James Arthur Suffering from Acute Exhaustion

James Arthur has made this announcement following a week long media storm caused by his homophobic lyrics in a rap ‘diss track’ aimed at Mickey Worthless, and a Twitter feud with former X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan. In Arthur’s rap at Mickey Worthless, he labelled the rival rapper a “fucking queer” which sparked outrage among fans. Later in the week, Lucy Spraggan challenged Arthur over his lyrics via private text message only to post screen captures of the conversation over her Twitter account.

It is said that Athur’s career could now be in jeopardy after this string of PR disasters. With fans demanding their money back from iTunes for singles bought, an emergency meeting with label representatives and his management was called to discuss his future in the music industry.

In a statement released Friday, reps said that he has been “instructed to rest for several days by his doctor”. They continued, “James would like to apologise to his fans for any disappointment caused to them by these cancellations. He hopes to get
back to full health as soon as possible.”
