This November, internationally acclaimed ‘The LipSinkers’ make their Galway debut at Electric Garden & Theatre. Bringing the noble art of lip-syncing bang up to date with a razor sharp edge, they are a drag troop with a difference, where choreographed comedy meets biting satire with big hair and high heels.
Hailed by Time Out as “Utterly leftfield, brilliantly bonkers, queer and lovin’ it”, The LipSinkers have been at the heart of London’s alternative cabaret scene for the last ten years. They are currently resident at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern and are known for their regular on-going collaborations with club nights as diverse as Duckie and Guilty Pleasures. They have stormed the Edinburgh Fringe two years running, been playing festivals all summer and are just back from a jaunt in the Spanish sunshine.
Galway it’s bracing itself for an unforgettable night or trashy wigs, bags of glitter and lipsyncing like you’ve never seen it before. ‘It’s drag. It’s in a bar. It’s radical.’
“Bloody hell, The LipSinkers are AMAZING” – The Guardian
