The 2026 Emmy Awards took place on Tuesday, September 15, with a stunning array of incredible outfits, well-deserved awards and all-around incredible moments for new and experienced industry names.

Some of the big-name nominees came dressed to impress. Queer actor Colman Domingo ditched the conventional and went for a stylish outfit that married the Miami Vice look with a touch of royalty, which pairs perfectly with the overall vibe Domingo is always sporting.

While his look was stunning, he did not manage to win an award in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, for which he was nominated thanks to his performance in the second season of the 2025 show, The Four Seasons. Instead, the award went to Stephen Root for his performance in the new hit horror comedy, Widows Bay.

Hacks fan favourite Meg Stalter was nominated at the 2026 Emmy for her performance in the final season of the amazing TV show, with the actor appearing in a very unconventional and on-brand look for the now one-time Emmy nominee. Painted entirely in gold, dressed in robes and wings while holding a globe above her head, Stalter showed up to the Emmy award ceremony as an Emmy award!

While she did not manage to bring a miniature version of herself home in the shape of a real Emmy award, she was technically the biggest award there. Many were definitely cheering for the rising comedy star, but the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy ultimately went to Kate O’Flynn for her equally hilarious performance in the massively popular Widows Bay.

While not nominated for an Emmy, fashion designer and personal stylist to Hollywood superstar Zendaya, Law Roach, appeared in an elaborate, intricately designed and truly beautiful look. Dressed in a long, flowing golden robe embroidered with flowers, Roach did not just make statements, look-wise, but also with his words.

Roach was a longtime friend of the late fashion designer Bob Mackie, and when interviewed by Live From E! at the Emmy ceremony, he said, “A few years ago, his PR wrote me and said I was his favorite stylist, and my relationship with Zendaya reminded him of his relationship with Cher, and he wanted to meet me.” 

Roach continued, “I went and I sat with him for five hours and he gave me the most gorgeous gossip about all the Hollywood ladies he would dress.” He concluded by saying, “We are losing one of the greatest American fashion designers.”

Roach also designed Zendaya’s look for this year’s award show, who was nominated for her performance in the final season of Euphoria but lost the award to Rhea Seehorn.

Seehorn, who was the one to ultimately win the Best Lead Actress in a Drama award, put on a stellar performance as the charming yet morally cynical character in the new Apple TV show Pluribus, directed by Vince Gilligan, of Better Call Saul fame.

While many incredible looks and performances were put on by incredible talents, unfortunately not all will win. But just like Seehorn, who is now on her fifth nomination before finally winning at the 2026 Emmys, there is always a chance next year!
