USI To Attempt World Record For Marriage Equality

love

The Union of Students Ireland (USI) are hoping to set a Guinness World Record for the largest ever human love heart, for their #MakeGráTheLaw campaign.

On April 25, the record attempt will take place in Smithfield Square – and they need volunteers to help form the largest ever group of people in a heart formation. Official cameras will be on site to document the feat, which will then be passed on to the official Guinness World Record judges.

The rules?

  • All participants MUST wear red in order for the record to be counted. (Don’t worry, the first 1,000 signups will get their own participant pack with wrist band, t-shirt and red rain poncho)
  • In order to participate you HAVE to register. Don’t worry, it’s free! You can do so over on USI.ie.

Why try and break the record? USI say, “It’s really quite simple – we all stand together, making the shape of the one symbol which means ‘love’ all around the world. We’re positive about love and positive about equality.”

The attempt will take place on April 25, 12PM at Smithfield Square, Dublin.
