New York mother, Jodie Patterson, lets Cosmopolitan.com into her home for a short documentary about her child, Penelope.

7 year-old Penelope was born anatomically female, but from the age of two identified as a boy. Patterson tells Cosmopolitan.com about her child’s experience growing up trans and how he interacts with the world around him.
