As this is the Eve of St Patricks Day we thought this is the perfect time to make a special event and on top of that we are also excited to be celebrating our 4th Birthday at this party so let’s kick-start the St Patricks Weekend festival in true EUPHORIA STYLE.

XTRA resident DJ Enrico Meloni will perform the main set on the night accompanied by our very own DJ’s Arthuro Cavalli and Dave Mladi.

Where We Live

THISISPOPBABY’s St Patrick’s weekend curation continues with a number of talks, screenings, music and of course WERK HOUSE, which is now sold out. If you haven’t got tickets dont worry there are still plenty of events with tickets available.

Townhall Talk ‘This Party’s Over‘ will look at gentrification and the disapearance of the underground scene. Tickets here.

The High Hopes Community Choir will perform at 8pm on Friday. The High Hopes Community Choir is the culmination of Ireland’s first homeless choir created by David Brophy with the assistance of Musical Director Carmel Whelan and Managing Coordinator Glenn Alexander. Tickets here.

Sunday will see screenings of Adam & Paul, Seaview, Pathways and Notes on Rave in Dublin, which will be introuduced by our founder and saviour Tonie Walsh. Tickets here.

On Friday March 16th, Paddy’s Eve, we’re taking over the two room basement club under the old Church on Mary St as we embrace our electronic emerald roots for our annual Patricks Eve special.

UNSCENE – A Live Music Event For Queers And Pals

Musician Ailbhe Reddy and Broadcaster and Promoter Dwayne Woods have joined forces to curate a new monthly live music event for Queers and Pals called UNSCENE.

The Inaugural event will take place on March 15th at Dublin’s The Underground Venue. The first in the series of live events will see performances from:

  • SYLK
  • Maija Sofia
  • St. Bishop
  • Alien She
  • Plus Dj’s Sets from PRNC$$, Tears For Queers and much more.

Tickets for the launch event are €8 via Eventbrite or €10 on the door.

 

Herstory Salons

Herstory, a cultural movement created to tell the life stories of historical, contemporary and mythological women present two salon talks with St. Patrick’s Festival.

They will also be hosting a Suffragette Walking Tour daily until March 19th.

Ireland of Equals at Freemason’s Hall on March 16th

Discover that in nearly every remarkable woman’s biography, there was a man who saw her as an equal with speakers including Senia Paseta (Professor of Modern History, Oxford University) and Dr. Micheline Sheehy-Skeffington (Women’s Rights Activist and granddaughter of Hanna & Francis Sheehy-Skeffington).

Revolutionary Religious Women in The Unitarian Church, Stephen’s Greenon March 18th

This event will take a look at lost legends and the forgotten feminine wisdom of Christianity, Islam and ancient pagan religion will be uncovered as speakers including poet and former priest John Ennis and comedian and actress Tara Flynn ask if it’s time for religions to evolve, acknowledge the role of women, the importance of the Sacred Feminine, and create future faiths based on equality and respect for both sexes.
