Unofficial Queen of Controversy Lily Allen has revealed her ‘Unofficial World Cup song’ today on SoundCloud.

Bass Like Home, a minimalist upbeat electronic track produced by Kidd Harpoon (Shakira, Jessie Ware), is a brand new cut and does not feature on Allen’s recent number one album, Sheezus.

While it doesn’t directly reference the World Cup, Lily’s deadpan delivery includes mentions of William Shakespeare, John Lennon, lager and The Queen, making it a quintessential British anthem.

The outspoken singer/songwriter made headlines last week when she posted an Instagram video of herself captioned #drakespanxdance, filming herself dancing in just a pair of flesh-coloured Spanx, covering her breasts with one arm.
