Madox is a one-of-a-kind Polish pop music industry unto himself. The young queer artist continues to take risks and break stereotypes as he has from the beginning with his appearance on Poland’s Got Talent.
His debut album, La Revolution Sexuelle, created a huge buzz in the Polish media due to his gender-fluid look and ultra sexual concepts in a conservative climate. Madox continues to fight for his place in the music industry while also fighting intolerance and homophobia in his country.
He was recently a featured judge on Polsat’s All Together Now and his song ‘One More Shot’ was named the official anthem of Mr Gay Europe 2018.
His latest release was paired with the anti-hate campaign #IamSEX. Joined by other Polish celebrities, Madox raised awareness about social injustice with the premiere of the video ‘S.E.X.’.
The song was inspired by the early nineties era of Madonna and her iconic single ‘Justify My Love’. Madox reflects on his melancholy childhood in Paris, his family and past relationships. It is a collaboration with American lyricist, Adam Joseph, and Syrian composer, Ayham Dalal, along with Polish producer, Wojciech ‘Hef’ Trusewicz.

Although Madox has been a successful singer in Poland, his journey has not been easy. Poland is still very conservative and definitely not an LGBT+ friendly place.
Local governments across Poland have declared their village or regional assembly free of “LGBT+ ideology”. In a country heavily swayed by the doctrine of the Catholic Church, the declaration signals a dangerous yet baffling power move to continue suppressing the LGBT+ community.
Negative feelings against the LGBT+ community in Poland erupted to the surface after Warsaw mayor, Rafal Trzaskowski, signed an anti-discrimination proclamation in February. Following the signing, there was a barrage of actions and comments aimed at the LGBT+ community. In April, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, leader of Poland’s Law and Justice party, spoke about how LGBT+ ideologies were a threat to the family structure.
Madox is now back in the studio finishing his second album expected to be released in early 2020.
