‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Jim Parsons has gotten his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper, was honoured on Wednesday in Hollywood, joined by fellow stars of the Big Bang Theory: Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch, Simon Helberg, Johnny Galecki, and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting.

Parsons has been awarded the star after receiving four Emmys and a Golden Globe for his role as Cooper, the awkward genius.

Also in attendance were Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre, who spoke at the ceremony, Parsons’ longtime partner, Todd Spiewak, and Parsons’ mom, Judy Parsons, who enveloped her son in a warm hug after the star was unveiled.

“It is a funny place to honor anyone,” Parsons told Variety of the Walk of Fame itself. “‘We will put your name right on the ground.’ And if there is gum there? Come on, it is the ground!”

Parsons has also starred in last year’s The Normal Heart.
