A Britney Spears fan who wrote a letter to the singer in which he told that her music had given him the strength to come out as gay has received a reply from the Vegas star.

The super-fan, named David LeCours, had met the Spears backstage at one of her Piece of Me shows at Planet Hollywood in Vegas, and handed her the letter personally.

Speaking about the note, LeCours said, “It explained how she helped me to get through a real tough period of my life these past few months, and how I wanted to end it all but she made me be strong”.

Security personel for Spears then asked LeCours for his address, so that Britney could write him a response, which he posted on Instagram yesterday (see below).

The response has increased the young fan’s love of the 32 year-old singer, with his public thank-you to his idol reading, “I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to write me back and being such an amazing inspiration to me”.

Spears, who is currently performing on the fourth leg of her Vegas residency, has claimed in the past that she is inspired by her gay fans when creating “almost all” of her songs.

In other news, it seems that Britney is the kind of girl who just keeps giving. Last week the ‘Work Bitch’ singer sent tickets to her concert, along with a first-class airfare, to a terminally ill 28 year-old fan.

Cory Moraw, who suffers from genetic disorder DiGeorge Syndrome, diabetes and cirrhosis of the liver, suffered from a decline in health, and said the only thing he felt like doing was seeing Britney perform live.

Moraw’s mother said of the experience, “She just hugged him and said ‘Oh Cory, thank you for letting me meet you’, I thought it was just so cool that she said it that way”.
