Electric Picnic has announced its 2025 headline acts, and queer fans couldn’t be more thrilled. Chappell Roan, the self-proclaimed Midwest Princess, will be bringing her high-energy, flamboyant Pink Pony Club to the Stradbally Estate in Co Laois this August for her first-ever Electric Picnic performance.

Chappell Roan has rapidly cemented herself as one of pop’s most exciting stars, with a unique blend of campy aesthetics, theatrical performances, and undeniably catchy tunes. Having performed on some of the biggest stages across the world and even bagging a Grammy, her Electric Picnic debut is set to be nothing short of spectacular.

The Midwest Princess also made headlines earlier this week after confirming her new relationship on the Call Her Daddy podcast, adding to the excitement surrounding her growing career.

Alongside Roan, Electric Picnic has lined up an impressive array of acts, with Hozier, Sam Fender, Fatboy Slim, and Kings of Leon already confirmed to take the stage. More artists are expected to be announced in the coming months.

This year’s festival will take place from August 29 to 31, and organisers are hoping to make it the biggest Electric Picnic yet. The festival’s promoters are currently seeking permission to increase the daily attendance to 80,000, which would make it the largest capacity in the event’s history.

However, if you haven’t already secured your tickets, you might be out of luck, all tickets sold out within hours of their release in August 2024. While there may still be opportunities to buy tickets through official resale platforms, demand is expected to be exceptionally high.

With its biggest lineup yet and a potential record-breaking crowd, Electric Picnic 2025 is shaping up to be one for the books and with Chappell Roan in the mix, festival-goers can expect nothing less than a euphoric, queer, glitter-filled party.
