A CNN reporter who thought she’d gotten a scoop when she spotted an ISIS flag flying at London Pride was left red-faced when the flag turned out to full of dildos.

Reporter Lucy Pawle gave an urgent live interview to CNN colleagues in studio on Saturday, stating that she’d spotted what appeared to be an ISIS flag flying during London’s annual Pride parade.

Almost unable to believe her journalistic good fortune, Pawle kicks off by excitedly telling the studio that she spotted a man in black and white “’quite distinctive from the rest of the crowd” waving an ISIS flag during London’s Pride parade.

Despite noting that the flag didn’t contain Arabic lettering, Pawle said that she approached event organisers and nearby police for an explanation.

“If you look at the flag closely, it’s clearly not Arabic. In fact, it looks like it could be gobbledegook. But it’s very distinctively the ISIS flag.”

“I seem to be the only person who has spotted this, and nobody seems to be raising any questions or pointing it out,” Pawle added indignantly.

The reason for the lack of controversy was that everyone had realised what Pawle hadn’t: the flag was in fact a parody of the ISIS flag with a font consisting of butt plugs, dildo and other sex toys.

A discussion followed – including a consultation with a security analyst – on the significance of the flag’s appearance and whether it was a “warning” of a planned terrorist attack.

CNN quickly removed the video from their website on Saturday afternoon after widespread online pillorying.
