Dykonic, a brand-new music festival for queer women+, will take place in Dublin on August 9, 2025. Hosted by comedian Ella Wills, it will feature a 100% FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender) lineup. While many of the headliners are still confidential, Dykonic has revealed a few to its followers, namely Fox Gunn, Inge Lamboo, Arxx, Vanés, and Ettie.

Queer people are always forced to carve out spaces for themselves in the world. In 2023, less than 15% of major festival lineups in Ireland the UK featured women or queer headliners. Upon realising this, Dykon founder Mafalda ‘Mafi’ Hrušková, knew the community deserved more, “A place outside a dark club, in the daylight, where we can actually see each other. Where queer artists can take a proper stage. That was the moment Dykonic became inevitable in my mind,” she said.

This isn’t to say she dislikes nightclub environments; in fact, as the founder of Dykon, Mafi will be holding its third birthday on May 10. Sill, she felt that queer women+ deserved to be loud, proud, and enjoy music out in the open.

The festival is expected to have a mix of live performances from artist from across Europe, as well as a queer market, tattoos, and areas where people can relax away from the large crowds. There will also be food trucks with vegan and veggie options.

The main stage will be accompanied by a Secret Garden, which other queer collectives have been invited to takeover. Already confirmed to appear at the festival are Rathaus, Aphrodisiac and Crystal Queer Club, with the partnerships representing what Dykonic is all about: celebrating queer nightlife culture and uplifting grassroots collectives that create spaces for joy, freedom, and self-expression.

Mafi explained the festival best, as she sees it as a “queer picnic meets mini pride meets chaos rave — all held in a space that feels like it was built for us.”

While Early Bird tickets are all sold out, you can still purchase General Admission and VIP tickets costing €65.14 and €107.64, respectively. The event will be held on August 9 at Orlagh House in Dublin, where doors open at 3pm and the event ends at 10:30pm.
