Galway Rower, Gavan Hennigan Makes Gay Bachelor Top Ten

Gavan Hennigan Gay

At a star-studded event in London last night, Irish man Gavan Hennigan was named No’7 on Attitude magazine’s most eligible gay men list.

Hennigan, who in February set a world record after rowing solo across the South Atlantic Ocean for 49 days, is in the company of gay stars such as Sam Smith, MNEK, Wentworth Miller and Sir Ian McKellen on the list. The American actor Charlie Carver (Teen Wolf, I Am Michael) was named ‘Bachelor of the Year 2017’.

Alongside Gabam in Attitude’s top ten Bachelors of the Year are Amini Fonua, the Olympic swimmer who famously spoke out against The Daily Beast after it used Grindr to out athletes in Rio, singer-songwriter and web sensation Steve Grand, Years and Years’ inspirational front man Olly Alexander and the just-out Walking Dead actor, Daniel Newman.

Darren Styles, Publisher and Managing Director of Attitude magazine, said: “We have been delighted with the extraordinary response to our first Attitude Bachelors of the Year, in association with [gay dating app] Blued. It has been a spectacular event and has made for a hugely entertaining (and hot) edition of Attitude.

“It’s also been fun, having just marked the third anniversary of the legalisation of gay marriage in the UK, to be celebrating a host of gentlemen who could yet prove to be perfect husband material.”

Hennigan will be rowing from New York City to his home city of Galway in June of this year.
