The Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus is getting set for it’s summer serenade, slap bang in the middle of the Dublin Pride Festival
Following the historic vote for same-sex marriage, the romantic denizens of Dublin will be treated to an afternoon of song, with a focus on affairs of the heart.
“We have a really wonderful selection of love songs that we are looking forward to performing in one of the city’s most striking buildings, Dublin’s chq,” says Director of the Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus, Barry Joyce. “We want everyone to feel the joys of summer love and hope that as many people as possible will join us for what promises to be an unforgettable afternoon of romance and affection.”
The chorus was formed in 2012 and numbers approximately 24 members. Rehearsals for the concerts have been underway since January with intensive weekly sessions in Dublin’s Liberty Hall.
Entitled ‘Marry Me!’ the concert will take place in Dublin’s chq in the IFSC, on Saturday June 20 at 3.30pm. Entry is free, so the public is advised to come early so as not to be disappointed. Find out more at www.facebook.com/dublingaymenschorus
