Chris Miklos, a gay model from Texas, has died of a suspected heart attack aged 40.

Bear World magazine, which Miklos was working with on a 2015 calendar at the time of his passing, confirmed the news on its Facebook page today. A Kickstarter campaign for the calendar was shut down, though the page still appears online.

The model, who had shot with photographers such as Blake Little and Michael Alago, was particularly popular among bear communities around the world – as well as being the face of Burly Shirts, his rugged good looks and large muscular build allowed him to book personal appearances at bear events internationally.

Miklos joins the list of relatively young gay porn models to have died of heart attacks in recent years – such as 30 year-old Erik Rhodes and Cameron Fox, aged 36, who passed away last month.
