Watch out! Bears crossing next weekend for Dublin Bears’ Béar Féile

If you go down to The George between March 30 and April 2, you’re sure of a big surprise. All the bears with all the hairs will be converging on Dublin (also known by its affectionate nick-name ‘Jurrasic Park’), and other venues across the city, for the annual Béar Féile festival. Otters, cubs, wolfs – all hirsute honeys are welcome!

An exhaustive schedule of events awaits attendees, kicking off on Thursday, March 30 with Thank Bridie’s It’s Béar Féile. On Friday there’s a trad session in Nealon’s, Capel Street, followed that night by FUR at Adelphi, with DJs El Styra and Steodub.

On Saturday morning there’s a Bear Bus Tour followed later in the afternoon by Sing Out, a performance by Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus in Oscar’s Café Bar, Christchurch. That night there’s the Mr Bear Ireland Competition at The Button Factory, hosted by Annie Balls.

On Sunday afternoon there’s a George Michael tribute act in Pantibar (and music from DJ Gerry Moore), followed that night by a special Bear Bingo! back over at The George. With such a packed schedule you’ll bearly be able to make it through the weekend!
