It’s been a busy 24 hours for Lady Gaga – not only has she released ‘Anything Goes’, the first single from her new record with Tony Bennett, but she also confirmed her role in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City 2.

The multi-talented 28 year-old will play the part of Bertha, a waitress, starring alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, which she expressed excitement about in a post on Instagram, saying “It’s true! I’ll be in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill with my favorite scene partner Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I love Rodriguez he really killed this one!” Gaga previously worked with Rodriguez in the 2013 action-comedy, Machete Kills.

The trailer for Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill was released at last week’s Comic Con in San Diego, and featured a first-look at the first’s host of stars including Jessica Alba, Eva Green, Ray Liotta and Bruce Willis.

Gaga’s previous screen acting experiences date back to an appearance in The Sopranos when she was just 15, as well as an appearance in The Simpsons, which was less fortunate, being ranked the worst in the cartoon’s history according to IMDB.

Speaking about Cheek to Cheek, her two-years-in-the-making record with Tony Bennett, Gaga told The Guardian, “Cheek To Cheek came out of a very organic friendship and relationship that Tony and I have built over the years and it truly was a collaborative effort. It was important to Tony that this was a jazz record. I’ve been singing jazz since I was a child and really wanted to show the authentic side of the genre. We made an album of jazz classics, but it has a modern twist”.
