Even with September rolling around, Pride season is still going strong! Next up is Laois Pride 2026, which will take centre stage from Monday, September 7, to Friday, September 13.
The celebration will be huge with so much to look forward to, and it will begin with the raising of the Pride flag on Monday at Laois County Council at 12pm.
There will be many more activities across the festival. On Wednesday, Dunaimase Arts Centre will host a film screening of Girls & Boys at 7pm. On Friday, September 11, attendees can look forward to an epic Youth Pride Party, which is in collaboration with Youth Work Ireland.
On Saturday, the highly anticipated Pride Parade hits Laois. It starts at 12pm from Laois School of Music.

Afterwards, from 1pm to 4pm, attendees will be able to participate in the Pride Fun Day at An Dún, promising a full celebration of music, performance and drag. The event will include food, drinks, music and community, making it a day for all to enjoy.
To end the celebrations, a very special Laois Pride After Party will take place at Kavanagh’s Bar for those who want to party the night away! Hosted by Paul Ryder, it will feature Sing Along Social, The Misses, Dylatrix, Regina George and DJ Ruth.
Alongside the amazing lineup for Laois Pride 2026, there is also a writing competition being held in honour of the late queer journalist Joe Drennan. Run in partnership with the Laois Nationalist, this competition invites emerging LGBTQ+ talent to share their creativity under the theme ‘Finding Community’. Entrants are encouraged to explore what community means to them and the different ways people find connection, belonging and support.
This year’s Laois Pride is due to be a fantastic celebration, and the organisers are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the festival.
