“I’ll probably lose some fans over this post, but that’s fine with me,” Sawyer Fredericks.
It’s crazy to believe we are nearing the halfway point of 2022. Let’s look back on the year thus far and celebrate some amazing LGBTQ+ celebrities!
— Emeli Sandé (@emelisande) April 2, 2022
The Scottish singer and songwriter shared in an interview in April that she is in a relationship with Yoana Karemova, a female classical pianist. Sandé says the relationship is going very well and she is, “happier than ever.”
When a fan asked Sandé if she identifies as bisexual she replies, “I’m not sure what I identify as but I guess so. I just feel like I should fall in love with whoever I fall in love with,” she said.
Carmichael is an American stand-up comedian and actor that recently shared he was gay during his comedy show Rothaniel on HBO Max.
“I’m accepting the love, I really appreciate the love. My ego wants to rebel against it. I rebelled against it my whole life. I thought I’d never, ever come out. At many points I thought I’d rather die than confront the truth of that, to actually say it to people. Because I know it changes some people’s perceptions of me. I can’t control that,” he said.
Trinity The Tuck
In an Instagram post, a season 9 finalist for RuPaul’s Drag Race and All Stars 4 co-winner came out as transgender and non-binary.
Trinity wrote, “That’s why I altered my body starting at the age of 21 to look more feminine and also started hormone therapy for a short period.” They want to share their feelings with others and hope they know they are not alone.

During the reunion special of The Ultimatum, a reality dating series on Netflix, Williams came out as bisexual. She ended her previous relationship with Zay Wilson and had a private relationship with a girl after the show.
Williams shared her reason for coming out on her Instagram story, “Knowing that people are suicidal or depressed over their identity or sexuality and not being accepted or accepting themselves made me want to come out.”
