Calling all queers for a fabulous announcement! Vibe, an all-new LGBTQ+ nightclub, is opening its doors in Cork for the first time ever this Saturday, February 3, making it the city’s only dedicated LGBTQ+ nightclub.
While several club nights and events have popped up recently to cater to the LGBTQ+ community in Cork, there was no permanent nightlife fixture specifically dedicated to queer folks. Things are about to change this weekend when this new nightclub is set to open its doors.
Located in Leeside, Cork, Vibe hopes to provide the Rebel County’s LGBTQ+ community with a safe and welcoming place to express themselves. Jen Bowler, the new owner and manager of Vibe, promised a stellar opening weekend for those in attendance.
In a social media post announcing the nightclub’s opening, Bowler wrote: “I am so excited to announce that I am now the proud owner of Vibe – formally known as Conway’s Yard.
“Opening a venue like this has always been my dream and I can’t believe it’s actually happening. Vibe will be Cork’s only dedicated LGBTQIA+ Venue run by the community for the community.”

“You can expect top-class entertainment, live music, drag shows, great food, lots of dancing, fun, games, themed nights and chill-out nights,” Bowler added. “I want to make this a safe haven for everyone in the community with the promise that the venue is not a pop-up, will not be moved and we are here to stay for good.”
For the time being, Vibe, backed by Clancy’s Group, will only be open on Friday and Saturday nights, though Bowler plans to expand the club’s opening hours in the future.
Vibe is set to kick off its opening night party this Saturday with featured performances from Abraham Sax, Carrie Dewayne, Cynthia Doll, DJ Ruth, and drag performer Regina George.
