This morning, on Irish Midwest Radio’s popular current affairs programme The Tommy Marren Show, presenter Marren read out a message from one angry listener demanding for society to “stamp out” the “bizarre” homosexual lifestyle to save children from contracting Aids.

The listener, ‘Jo’, contacted  the programme saying that the introduction of same-sex marriage is a “crazy idea” and must be defeated. She added that if “children were to live with [gay people] they could easily pick up Aids.”

In response, Marren thanked Jo for getting in touch with the show.
