Masqs For Masks: Film Fatale's Masquerade Ball

Time to pull those Venetian masks out of your closet, don your fanciest outfit and enshroud yourself in mystery at Film Fatale presents: Masquerade

Boutique events company Film Fatale, renowned for their epic vintage parties, are gearing up for their most extravagant event yet: a massive masquerade ball in Dublin’s RDS this month.

Bottles of bubbly will be popped, ball gowns will shimmer and sparkle, top hats will be tipped… this event will make Truman Capote’s infamous White Ball look like a barn dance!

Drink in the spectacle as porcelain-faced ballerinas, flying-swan princesses, troubadours and even a unicorn princess, spin around the dance floor to the strings of the La Fete Quartet. The musical accompaniment will be a fusion of old and new tunes, up-beat vintage dancefloor fillers, and modern-era songs with a bygone-era twist.

Hit the floor for dance-your-frock-off tunes from the Film Fatale orchestra, combining swing and strings to play your favourite dance floor hits, from Ellington to the Eurythmics.

Dance like no one’s watching to Ireland’s most internationally acclaimed brass band, Booka Brass. Then immerse yourself in the music as retro DJs the Andrews Sisters’ Brothers take to the stage with their troupe of dancers.

Unsurprisingly, this extravaganza has a dress code, so dust off your face-masks and your fanciest or wildest attire. Masquerade is for the vintage queens, the retro kings, the counts and courtesans, the flappers, the disco divas, the bold and beautiful, the fantasists and the other-worldly.

Film Fatale presents: Masquerade, April 15, starts 8pm, RDS. Tickets €39 from ticketweb.ie
