“Bring back…my gaels”

Hold on to your wigs because this is not a drill…

Bio-Queen Michelle Visage herself has just been announced as a judge on  Ireland’s Got Talent! Today, Tv3 announced their plan for Ireland’s Got Talent, revealing the show’s 4 judges at an event in the National Concert Hall. Instead of having RuPaul judging by her side, she’ll be joined by comedian Jason Byrne, actress/presenter/all-rounder Denise Van Outen, and Ireland’s favourite drag queen: Louis Walsh. TV3’s Lucy Kennedy will host the show, expected to air in January 2018.

When asked what she’ll be looking out for on the show, Visage said ” my favourite thing in the world are camp acts”.

“The weirder the better. Of course I love the kids, of course I love the animals but I like when people think out of the box and just go for it and go crazy.”

Visage went on to say “Ireland’s that place where, in every talent show, you’re just like ‘wow’. So I definitely think we’ll find some fantastic singers.”

Overjoyed Irish drag-race fans have already taken to Twitter…

Going into her 8th season as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as her 3rd season judging RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars, Ireland will have to break out our glitziest, most glamorous acts to please Visage.

So get practising those death-drops to Riverdance, auditions start in November!

One thing’s for sure, she’s going to have to get over her green-thing fast if she’s going to be hanging out in Ireland.
