Mother announces Pride Block Party weekend 2022 lineup and it is epic

After a long hiatus, the fabulous Mother Pride Block Party is back and this year it is bigger than ever and will take place on Saturday and Sunday.

Mother Pride Line up 2022: L-R Peaches, Blu Hydrangea, Rina Sawayama and Anitta

Mother Pride Block Party lineup is here and it is epic. Everyone’s favourite Pride party is back where it belongs on the grounds of The National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks and we are SO EXCITED.

Taking place across Pride weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 25th and 26th the Mother Pride Block Party is back with a bang for a full weekend of celebrations! After three years without a Pride party, it’s only right that the good folx at Mother would provide us with an all weekend queer takeover in the capital.

So, who is headlining I hear you ask? Well, here in the towers, we are squealing with excitement for this super talented list of artists! The Saturday headliner is Brazilian superstar Anitta, on Sunday the incredible Rina Sawayama with support from the queer icon, Peaches.

Other live acts across the weekend include GCN fave Elaine Mai, electro-pop sensation Le Boom, Ru Pauls Drag Race VS The World winner Blu Hydrangea, Jodie Harsh, the Mother DJs, Panti Bliss and an absolute ton of local queer talent!

Also listed on this lineup announce are shows from Sing Along Social, stunning drag from Victoria, Davina, Veda, Pixie Woo. Paul Ryder, Regina George and the queens from SIS, Haus of W.I.G. & Disco Utopia alongside sets from some of the best DJs including Kelly-Anne Byrne, Tara Kumar, Claire Beck, Conor Behan, Stephen Dowling, DJ RÍ & lots more to be announced.

Cormac Cashman, co-founder and promoter of Mother had this to say about the Pride lineup:

“After three years without our Pride Block Party, we wanted our comeback to be an entire weekend of shows, with performances from some incredible queer talent and allies. This is without a doubt the biggest Pride show we will ever have thrown and we can’t wait to welcome people back to celebrate together”

Lisa Connell, co-founder of Mother and Managing Ed of GCN added:

“During lockdown, Mother made a promise to our community that we would dance again and so it’s only right that for our first Pride party in three years, we programmed some of the most exciting and creative live acts to help us keep that promise. We’re so proud of all the acts we have programmed and can’t wait to celebrate with our LGBTQ+ family in June.”

Returning to the historic grounds of the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, the Mother crew will be installing two stages, lots of bars (being Proud is thirsty work), super tasty food stalls, activations, art installations and much more.

Tickets are on sale from Eventbrite this Thursday at 9 am.
