Gay and Lesbian Equality Network (GLEN) will launch their campaign this evening that encourages Irish people to report LGBT hate crimes to the Gardaí.
GLEN will host an event this evening to encourage people to report LGBT crimes directly to the Gardaí or to post anonymously on their new site, StopHateCrime.ie .
The campaign will be launched by Minister Aodhan O’Riordain, T.D., Minster of State for New Communities, Culture and Equality at an event in The Royal Irish Academy at 6PM this evening.
The website will help to show the Gardaí the extent of homophobic violence in Ireland so it can be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.
GLEN’s event will take place at the Royal Irish Academy, 19 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 on December 9, at 6pm.
