The newly revamped Outhouse LGBT Library has a jam-packed February ahead.
Well-Versed kicked off last month and is back with more fabulous featured poets Mike Igoe and Vickey Curtis. They’ll be starting off the night before the floor is opened for an open mic night. This is a popular event, seats fill up fast. Well-Versed is on 7pm – 8pm, Thursday February 19.
Orla Egan will be at Outhouse at the end of the February giving a talk on the development of the Cork LGBT community and her work setting up the Cork LGBT Digital Archive. With wine and refreshments, sure what else would you want? February 20 at 7pm.
A Queer Story Book Club is back this month with Christos Tsiolkas’ latest novel Barracuda. Barracuda tells the story of Danny, a talented young swimmer. Competitive swimming is the route from his working-class upbringing to, he hopes, fame and fortune, as well as his revenge on the rich boys… The next meet-up is 7pm Thursday February 26.
The Outhouse is at 105 Capel Street, and is open six days a week.
