Pride season is well and truly underway, and to make the most out of the occasion, why not branch out and attend different events across the country? There are countless festivals and parades to choose from, many of which are accessible through public transport. So, without further ado, here are some of the fantastic regional Pride events you should check out in 2026, and how to get there.

Dublin Pride
The Dublin Pride festival takes place from June 24 to 28, with a range of events taking place across the city, including the iconic parade. The 2026 theme is ‘One Story – Many Voices’, a nod to how the community connects across time, borders, and different lived experiences. Expressway offers many routes to Dublin, including routes 2 from Wexford, 22 from Ballina, 23 from Sligo, 30 from Donegal, 32 from Letterkenny and 100x from Dundalk.

Trans+ Pride Cork
Trans+ Pride Cork returns on July 4 at Grand Parade Library. Speaking to GCN, organisers said they will be marching for “expanded legal rights, improved access to healthcare, and a ban on conversion practices.” They have called on allies to join the protest, helping to ensure it is “the biggest Trans+ Pride Cork ever”. Expressway offers two routes to Cork: 40 from Waterford and Killarney, and 51 from Galway.

Limerick Pride
Limerick Pride runs from July 6 to 11, under the theme ‘Pride in our Community’, a nod to the strength and resilience shown by LGBTQ+ people in the county. The celebration will of course feature the annual parade, which will be led by Grand Marshal, Sarsfields Rugby Club. In 2028, Limerick will be one of the hosts of EuroPride, which is being held in Ireland for the very first time. You can go to Limerick via Expressway routes 13, 13/14, 14, 51 and 55 from Tralee, Abbeyfeale, Killarney, Galway and Cork.

Trans & Intersex Pride Dublin
Trans & Intersex Pride Dublin will take over the capital city’s streets on July 11, continuing its role as a political protest committed to liberation, solidarity and collective action. In 2025, an estimated 10,000 people participated in what became the group’s largest march to date, and they are hoping for more of the same this year. The protest will particularly highlight demands for a reformed healthcare model based on informed consent, allowing trans people to access care through general practitioners rather than being funnelled into segregated specialist clinics. As mentioned above, Expressway offers many routes to Dublin, including routes 2 from Wexford, 22 from Ballina, 23 from Sligo, 30 from Donegal, 32 from Letterkenny and 100x from Dundalk.

Kingdom Pride, Kerry
Kingdom Pride 2026 takes place from July 16 to 19, spanning various towns across Kerry. The full programme is yet to be announced, but attendees can expect community gatherings, cultural events and family-friendly celebrations. If you want to join the festivities in Tralee, hop on Expressway routes 13, 13/14 or 40 from Limerick, Listowel and Cork.

Fermanagh Pride
On Saturday, July 18, Fermanagh Pride will bring the colour to Enniskillen Castle. The main stage will provide all-day entertainment, complemented by craft, food and charity stalls as well as amusement rides and face painting. For those looking to keep the celebrations going into the evening, there is an official after-party with a mix of bingo and drag. Expressway serves Enniskillen via route 30 from Dublin and Donegal.

Castleblayney Pride
Castleblayney’s LGBTQ+ Pride weekend is happening on July 18 and 19. If you’re looking for a fun, creative way to kick things off, there is a Sip ‘n’ Paint event at Crafty on Saturday, hosted in partnership with the brilliant Masterinapiece. Sunday will see the Family Pride Day take place, offering a completely free event for all ages. Expressway offers one route to Monaghan: 100x from Dublin and Dundalk.

This is just a selection of some of the fabulous Pride events taking place across Ireland in 2026. If travelling via Expressway, pre-booking is strongly advised. Find out more on the Expressway website here.
