The RuPaul’s Drag Race crew hit the Olympia Theatre stage for the extravaganza tour – but Courtney Act took the opportunity to get political.

Courtney Act, of RPDR season 6 fame, joined her fellow queens in Dublin for a spectacular show in The Olympia Theatre this week (March 22), hosted by Michelle Visage. Before the show, Courtney took the time to Snapchat and Tweet her views on repealing the eighth amendment, which would allow legal and safe abortion for women in Ireland.

In a Snapchat video, Courtney said, “Hey Ireland — Repeal the 8th! I know you support a woman’s right to choose what happens to her body and so do I. You were an inspiration on marriage equality so I figure the eighth is gonna be a breeze.”

She later followed up her sentiment on Twitter and Snapchat again.

Not content with just a few social media posts, Courtney later on lead the Olympia crowd in a “Repeal The Eighth” chant, which was met with a roar of applause from the crowd.

Twitter obviously went nuts, with many RuPaul’s Drag Race fans praising the drag superstar for voicing her political views and highlighting the cause.

Nice one, Courtney!
