TOM DELAY WILL FIGHT AGAINST GAY RIGHTS UNTIL "BITTER END"

Former Congressman Tom DeLay has declared that he will fight against gay rights until “the bitter end”.

Once known as “the meanest man in Congress,” Tom DeLay says America must fight for the right of businesses to discriminate against LGBT people on religious grounds.

FYI – Tom DeLay is not to be mistaken for British diver Tom Daley, who is clearly not against gay rights.

This week, the former Congressman appeared on Steve Malzberg’s Newsmax to defend Indiana’s “religious freedom” law. During his introduction, it’s clear this interviewer Malzburg is a hoping for a Conservative love-in with Tom DeLay, referencing moronic mouth-piece Rush Limbaugh and saying that ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ is a myth.

Here we go.

“Religious liberty is the bedrock of this country […] and what [LGBT people are] trying to do is to undermine the religious liberty so that they become an accepted sexual orientation,” he told Malzberg in an interview. He blamed the outcry against the original laws on “the gay agenda.” (Can someone tell us what actually is the gay agenda?)

“We have got to fight this battle to the bitter end because once you let the government dictate to you what you believe and what your values are, then this country’s finished,” DeLay said.

Before the segment, they showed a clip from none other than Rick Santorum, equating the Religious Freedom Act with the government not forcing a gay business to make signs saying ‘God hates fags’.

“We love people that have chosen to be homosexuals,” Tom DeLay continues. “The problem is we abhor the sin. So yes, when I have a business and some gay person walks in — unidentified, by the way, there’s no way you can tell it unless he tells you,” (Unless he’s wearing a gimp mask or setting churches on fire, of course, right Tom?) “Then I’m going to serve him. But if he comes in and asks me to undermine my values, what I believe in, undermine my religious liberty, then I have the right to stand up for what I believe in and not serve him.”

His political prowess also helped DeLay in his career since resigning from Congress – to compete in the gayest contest that side of the Atlantic – Dancing with the Stars.

And don’t miss DeLay’s book placed strategically on the bookshelf behind his head.
