Troye Sivan has released the music video for ‘FF’, the third and final single from his latest studio album, She’s the Best.
Standing for ‘Fucking Forever’, the track sees Sivan joined by a mysterious lover as the pair embark on a beachside romance, with depictions of passion and yearning so intense they leap off the screen.
One particular moment making headlines sees Sivan share a steamy NSFW shower scene with this mysterious lover, played by Felix Mayr. Alongside these more explicit moments, the video showcases the excitement and vulnerability that are a part of intimacy.
‘FF’ wears its queerness on its sleeve, embracing gay desire and affection through its portrayal of physical closeness. The video allows its romance to unfold without reservation, placing queer intimacy front and centre.
Sivan is clearly proud of the result. Taking to his X account to share his excitement, the singer wrote, “Somehow have made the gayest music video of my career.”
“Like this is GAY gay,” he added.

The track explores yearning for intimacy and someone to share it with. The lyrics ‘Me and my baby are fucking forever’ suggest a desire for something more than just that of a fleeting embrace, as we see depicted on screen.
Discussing the track while promoting the new album, Sivan described it as “me at my most longing, and about how lonely it is to love someone who isn’t here yet. It might sound like a vow, but it’s really a wish.”
The statement adds to the video’s core theme, the idea of loving someone who is still to be discovered and fantasising about a relationship that has yet to come to be. It captures the unrest between imagining an idolised version of romance and experiencing the deep loneliness of wanting it.
The video’s unapologetic look at queer longing and gay identity received some criticism. One X user complained that “his entire brand being the fact that he’s gay is so exhausting.” Sivan responded with a humorous Instagram story, sharing the comment alongside the caption, “I am Gay!!!! Gay gay gay gay”.
Released on October 9, She’s the Best is Sivan’s fourth studio album, following Blue Neighbourhood, Bloom and Something to Give Each Other.
