TV BAFTAs 2015 Roundup

baftas

The television component of the BAFTAs awards ceremony aired last night and there were some expected and unexpected winners.

Our very own Graham Norton hosted the event, giving some humour to an otherwise slightly boring ceremony and directing some zingers at the BBC which is always satisfying – especially when their biggest star decides to do it.

Norton was nominated for two categories – winning one – while losing out to Ant and Dec for entertainment performance. (Do those two ever not win?)

Benedict Cumberbatch lost out on another award for Leading Actor for his role as Sherlock Holmes, just months after The Imitation Game‘s BAFTAs snub.

Orange is the New Black and The Good Wife lost out on the International award at the BAFTAs to hit show True Detective.

Although not all was lost as The Good Wife‘s ethereal goddess Archie Panjabi was in attendance and that’s all you really need in life.
