Outhouse is a community space for LGBTQ+ people to connect with one another, with their community, and with themselves. We are a space for support, a space to feel safe, a space to be understood. We advocate for and amplify the voices of our community, working to promote equity and justice for all LGBTQ+ people.

We are your local hangout spot, your shoulder to lean on, your biggest champion, and your tireless advocate. We are your LGBTQ+ centre.

Café

Our cosy community café is a unique and welcoming space serving locally-roasted coffee, pastries, pressed sandwiches, sausage rolls, and other tasty treats and beverages. Beyond serving delicious food and drinks, the Outhouse Café provides a safe community space where diversity is valued and celebrated.

LGBTQ+ Library

Our library is home to Ireland’s largest collection of LGBTQ+ titles, spanning fiction, non-fiction, poetry, reference, and more. With almost 4,000 titles, spanning all genres and featuring both international and Irish books, you’re sure to find something of interest.

Joining the Outhouse LGBTQ+ Library is free and gives you access to check out books and enjoy them in the comfort of your own home. Books can be borrowed for up to 3 weeks and can be renewed for an additional 3 weeks by dropping in or calling the library or reception. You can sign up on the Outhouse website.

The Outhouse Book Club provides a vibrant hub for book enthusiasts and lovers of LGBTQ+ literature to connect with one another and engage in meaningful conversation in a diverse and inclusive space.
