Jennifer Lopez has unveiled a steaming video for her new single First Love, featuring the iconic Dolce & Gabanna model David Gandy, who is known for marking a shift from skinny to muscular models being used in the fashion industry.
In the black and white clip for the Max Martin-produced track, we see the curvy singer shoe-horned into tiny outfits, rolling around the desert and showering with her love interest. Gandy, 34, spoke to Vogue about the his decision to be in the video, “I’ve been asked if I’d take part in music videos before and I’ve always said no, but I jumped at the chance of working with a music icon such as Jennifer”.
The sculpted model added, “The conditions to shoot in were very challenging due to the weather, we were in the desert outside LA and the winds were incredibly strong and we had to deal with plummeting temperatures and sandstorms – but the atmosphere on set was great and we had a lot of fun”
First Love is the second single to be lifted from the 44 year-old’s new album, AKA, her first to be released in a new contract with Capitol Records. Lopez told fans about the album’s concept on Twitter, “I feel like I’ve been given so many monikers, and I do a lot of different things. If you listen to my albums, they were always about love. I’ve always sung about love. It was always love in a certain way, a fairytale type of way; I was hoping, praying, and wishing for that”.
J-Lo’s eighth studio album , released on June 17, will feature collaborations with Sia, Rick Ross and Iggy Azealea. Watch the video for First Love below.
