This afternoon, Lady Gaga announced via Twitter that she will be appearing in American Horror Story: Hotel, the fifth season of the Ryan Murphy directed horror series.

We know literally nothing about Gaga’s character so far – except that she will feature in the series, according to a cryptic video posted on her Twitter account. Fox big shots say that season five of the acclaimed series will be a whole lot different from previous series’, and is set to come out in October this year.

It’s not the first time Gaga has moved into the acting world. She starred in Robert Rodriguez helmed action sequel Machete Kills in 2013.

Gaga seems to be making a comeback – earlier this week performing on the Oscars and blowing everyone’s minds we a medley of songs from The Sound of Music, to celebrate the musical’s 50th anniversary.
