Belfast dwelling Dr Mike Davidson, who claims to have been cured from homosexuality by prayer, counselling and psychotherapy, appeared on the ITV show to air his views on the conversion therapy for gays, and he was clearly not expecting the avalanche of Piers Morgan’s questioning, after he said: “I believe that people are not born gay, that they come into homosexual feelings, and that it is something that in some cases is reversible for people who want to make that the trajectory of their lives.”
In a rare moment of being on the right side of an argument, Morgan slammed Davidson being a ‘malevolent and dangerous part of our society’ and dismissed as someone talking ‘complete claptrap’.
Watch what unfolded below:
Comedian Julian Clary appeared soon after Mr Davidson left the set, telling Morgan it was a “shame you gave him airtime”.
But Morgan defended his appearance, saying these people “need to be challenged”.
