Your new favourite gay feel-good film ‘Pride’, starring Andrew Scott, wins big at the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday night.
The film – nominated for seven awards – picked up three accolades, including Best Film, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress for Andrew Scott and Imelda Staunton respectively.
The Imitation Game failed to pick up any awards – it was nominated for seven – though it’s star, Benedict Cumberbatch, was awarded The Variety Award.
Scott – Sherlock‘s Moriarty – lauded Pride for its character development and how wonderfully it was brought together. He told HeyUGuys in The Winners’ Circle:
“There were great little parts to play […] and to be part of this story that was bigger than everyone.”
