Pop Idol winner Will Young is back with a comeback single entitled Love Revolution and it’s funky as hell.

Will Young has revealed Love Revolution, the first song to be released from his new album 85% Proof. He announced the release of his new album earlier this week which will be released May 25.

Sampling Tomcraft’s 2003 dance anthem, Loneliness, the retro vibe is a departure from the electronic sound of his fifth album Echoes which was released in 2011 and reached number one on the UK albums chart.

The openly gay singer won the original Idol series in 2002 – beating Gareth Gates to the top spot – and his winner’s single became the fastest-selling single in UK chart history.

In 2012, Young announced that he had left his record company and signed with Island Records.
