The queer sexual tension in the latest video from Years & Years is off the scale!
Last week, Years & Years’ Olly Alexander made an impassioned speech at Glastonbury, in the wake of the Orlando shootings. Describing himself as super-gay, Alexander said: “As queer people, we know what it’s like to be scared, and we know what it’s like to live with fear as part of our every day,” he said. “But tonight, Glastonbury, I’d like you to join me and say ‘no thank you, fear’. To say ‘fear, bye’. To literally shove a rainbow in fear’s face.”
This week Years & Years drop super-gay video for new single ‘Worship’, which also has more than a hint of a vampire movie about it. The eighth single from the band’s debut album, Communion, the video is set in an empty parking garage, where sexual energy builds and builds between Alexander and a group of very hot men.
