On May 31, Pride in the Park will take place from 12pm until 6pm at Min Ryan Park in Kileen, County Wexford. The free event is inclusive for all ages and backgrounds, and neurodivergent friendly!

The performers will be across two stages, including local musicians such as 12 Gauge Outrage, Mx Red Dear and Wexford Pride Chorus, plus more to be announced, so get ready to jam out. If you’re a foodie, don’t worry, there are vendors with hot foods and baked goods, and you can bring your picnic. There will also be a quiet zone for those who need some time away from the bustling chaos.

For the adults who want to continue celebrating into the night, there will be a Wexford Pride 2025 after-party hosted by Wexford Arts Centre. It will be led by Poppy DeScrace and the Disgraceful Cabaret, offering performances from kings, queens, things and burlesquers and a best-dressed competition.

Veronica Victor, Wexcord Pride’s Community Liaison, said, “Pride in the Park is a positive, affirming celebration of our beautiful diversity! There will always be people who think we shouldn’t exist, and this is our chance to ignore all of that and just focus on love and inclusivity.”

Similarly, the organisation’s Public Relations Officer, Rían Browne, commented, “We’re living at a time that is growing increasingly hostile to difference – where marginalised communities are often met with exclusion and hate in response to the inequalities we face in a changing world.

“It’s vital we act to make it clear to decision makers that this bigotry is not welcome here and does not reflect the views of a majority of Irish society. Through our work, we know what can be achieved when we come together to embrace inclusion, diversity, and belonging.”

Wexford Pride is a voluntary community organisation organised by and for the LGBTQ+ community of Wexford. It aims to empower and advocate for support and spaces for LGBTQ+ people in the county.
