Leslie Jordan, best known for his performance as Beverlie Leslie in Will and Grace, showered a gang of homophobic Starbucks patrons with coffee.

Leslie was enjoying a beverage in a Starbucks in West Hollywood when he overheard a homophobic slur being used by someone in a group of three men waiting in line, reports Gay Star News.

An incensed Jordan shout at the men to “Get out of my house!” before a manager intervened, asking the men to leave. On their way out one of them allegedly yelled: “You will die fucking faggots.”

Jordan proceeded to follow the men outside to berate them for their behaviour, but when one attempted to attack him, he showered the would-be attacker in cold coffee.

“Leslie Jordan ran out to tell them, ‘Get out of our house. Get out of here,” a witness, Joseph Daniels, told CBS2/KCAL9’. “I just think he’s a Southern belle that snapped.”

Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene shortly afterwards and arrested the three men, who were later released.

Leslie’s behaviour has been applauded by WeHo’s sizable gay population. “He stood up for the community, for all of us,” said local resident Pati Arana.
